How Billing Works
7-Day Free Trial
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. No credit card charge until day 8. Cancel anytime before that and you pay nothing.
Monthly or Annual
Choose monthly flexibility or save with annual billing (1 month free). Switch between billing cycles at any time from your portal.
Stripe Customer Portal
Manage your subscription, update payment methods, download invoices, and change plans directly through the Stripe customer portal.
Cancel Anytime
No pro-rata on cancellation. Your service continues until the end of the current billing period. No lock-in, no exit fees.
All prices are in USD. Stripe handles currency conversion for international cards.
Pricing FAQ
Can I change my plan at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time through the Stripe billing portal. When upgrading, you get immediate access to the additional storage. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Is the 7-day trial really free? Will I be charged automatically?
The trial is completely free. We require a credit card to prevent abuse, but you will not be charged until the 7-day trial ends. You can cancel anytime during the trial with no charge.
Why pay for Capsule Backup when I already pay for iCloud?
iCloud syncs files but does not provide Time Machine backups. Capsule Backup gives you a full disk backup with complete OS restore capability — something iCloud simply cannot do. Many users use both: iCloud for file sync and Capsule Backup for real backups.
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes! Annual plans include one free month compared to monthly billing. For example, the 1 TB plan is $88/year instead of $96 ($8 x 12 months).
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our payment partner Stripe. You can manage your payment methods and download invoices through the Stripe customer portal.
